Joan Muscat is a business consultant specialising in Real Estate and Education and advises businesses to escape marketing mediocrity and ignite tangible results.

Joan was a Business University Lecturer for 16 years and taught several business subjects, but Consumer Behaviour and Services Marketing were her specialty as Australia is a service driven economy. Universities that Joan lectured at include Macquarie, Charles Sturt, ACPE and Western Sydney University.

Joan was increasingly invited to guest speak and consult and enjoying the flexibility and scope she decided to dedicate more time to consultancy and writing. Joan has written marketing material for several small businesses focusing on attracting new business through web redesign and content.

Since 2017 Joan has concentrated her efforts in Education and Real Estate allowing a specialisation of skills. With a 30-year property industry background that evolved into training and education Joan has worked with industry greats.

Writing manuals and training programs for Estate Agents Co-operative (EAC) and other small and medium real estate practices she enjoys writing that informs and educates. Teaching several modules in property practice for several institutions that include the Real Estate Institute of NSW, McGrath Real Estate Training, Tafes through-out Sydney, the Centre for Agency and licencing (CALE).

Joan Licensed Estate Agent a Mum to creatures two and four-legged. She is a gym junkie, loves long distance cycling, yin yoga and the occasional bush walk. She is an original cappuccino cat relishing every coffee opportunity that comes her way.

    The gap in real estate practice was clearly a lack of diversity. Mostly male and very traditional real estate practice was not appealing to every client. EWRE was created to address the need for a more democratic and collaborative real estate style greater with a greater sense of corporate social responsibility. Embracing an e-commerce platform, the new online business offers residential, commercial and rental services for a boundaryless property market. EWRE also wants to build the coveted village vibe that families love through collaboration that is 21st century.


    Our Team


    The EWRE team is primarily women form diverse backgrounds and experiences. Whilst we would love men to come and join us the goal must remain – a broader offering for clients. We value both male and female perspectives when buying and selling property.


    Clearly men and women place different values on property attributes. Recognising and delivering what all parties want is our major point of difference. When listing we provide insights to vendors that their buyers want and ensure those are the focus of out presentations. The EWRE team recognise buyer and seller anxieties and work tirelessly to reduce tensions and create calm transacting environments.
